Mucha Museum Prague
Mucha Museum – the first museum in the world dedicated exclusively to the life and work of the world-famous representative of Art Nouveau, Alfons Mucha (1860–1939) was opened to the public in Prague on Panská Street on 13 February 1998. The Mucha Museum covers an area of 500 m2, including a museum shop offering an exclusive collection of gifts and posters with motifs of Mucha’s works. The collection, which is now on display in the museum, presents almost 100 originals from the original collection of the world-famous Czechoslovak tennis player Ivan Lendl. The Mucha Museum is therefore the only institution in Prague exhibiting exclusively originals by Mucha.

Alfons Mucha and his life
Alfons Mucha was a Czech painter and graphic artist who became an icon of Art Nouveau. He became famous in Paris for his delicate posters full of dreamlike figures and rich ornaments. Mucha was able to connect beauty with everyday life, and his work influenced not only the art world, but also the national pride of the Czechs. With his work, he showed that even advertising can be a carrier of art and elegance.
